Celebrating the Arts in Northwest Arkansas

Fayetteville Underground promotes the visual arts in Northwest Arkansas by actively collaborating with the community. We work to support our local artists to the highest standards, and encourage education and public engagement in the arts throughout Fayetteville and the surrounding area.
Fueled by the endless support of our community and a dedicated group of volunteers, Fayetteville Underground now serves as a showcase for regional art with new exhibitions every month. In addition to monthly exhibits, the work of visiting visual artists is showcased regularly throughout the year. The Underground also collaborates with other local artists and arts organizations to plan events such as concerts, readings, classes and performances. Fayetteville Underground celebrates art from all disciplines including dance, film, painting, drawing, ceramics, music from all genres, and comedic theatre.

Glass Artist Elizabeth James, was selected by the Arkansas Arts Council to design the 2017 Governor's Arts Award, presented by Gov. Asa Hutchinson along with 8 recipients featuring NWA's very own Johnelle Hunt.
