Note from the Executive Director:

Welcome to the New U! Fayetteville Underground promotes local, regional and visiting International artists in Northwest Arkansas. We provide a unique cultural experience for an array of artists, guests and patrons to enjoy. Our gallery is located at 101 West Mountain Street on the downtown Fayetteville square. As a 501c non-profit, we offer the public the opportunity to purchase a variety of affordable local artists works.

Our artists roster includes Elizabeth James and Kate Baer showing work at Crystal Bridges, to Nationally renowned artists Susie Seigle and Mike Haley. From Delta Show Awards twice nominated photographer Sabine Schmidt, to new emerging-artists working at their finest. Our guest enjoy visiting our gallery to see and buy all-original art works. Shop in our art-retail store for one of a kind handmade wares- and find Katrinka Booth freestyle embroidered handbags, sculptor Hank Kaminsky metal jewelry, to Zeke Taylor art cards. Open for business 5 days a week, we offer a friendly buyer's environment staffed almost entirely by artists and volunteers

The Underground is a pro-artists collaborative City resource and proud members of the Fayetteville and Springdale Chambers of Commerce. Partnering with Clinton House Museum and Fayetteville Farmer’s Market, as well as engaging with a host of our neighboring businesses; our goal is to be a culturally diverse and inclusive arts organization leading our community with a new bent on creating and maintaining long-term financial sustainability.

Now an integral part of Fayetteville First Thursday’s throughout the year, we also host special events, artists workshops, and Music Tog classes- for kids and adults. The Underground is open for businesses, students, families and visitors. With community support, we continue to provide Fayetteville and Northwest Arkansas with a great place to experience art and cultural entertainment. Visit our open working-artists painting and stained glass studios. Have fun educating yourself on how zinc sinks in sand. Or improve your mind’s eye-to-hand coordination. Illicit your imagination.

Fayetteville Underground’s guiding mission is to promote the visual arts in Northwest Arkansas by actively collaborating with the community, supporting area artists working to the standards, and encouraging education and public engagement in the arts.
